Our Vision

Havana Area Prevention Team is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote:

Healthy, happy, and responsible lifestyles for area youth and families.

Why Have A Coalition In Havana

  • To influence people’s behavior (for example, reduce the number of youth who are using illegal substances).

  • To build a healthy community.

  • To bring about more effective and efficient delivery of programs.

  • To use resources more efficiently and eliminate duplication of services.

  • To increase communication between groups and break down barriers and stereotypes.

  • To launch community-wide efforts on a variety of topics.

Our Projects

Information Gathering

The coalition continues to assess community needs and resources in the Havana area. This information is vital for prevention planning purposes.

 

Collaboration

HAPT is committed to the idea that there is great power in partnering with other people and groups to benefit the community. All residents and community groups are invited to be a part of the planning, communication, and action.

 

Activities

HAPT is dedicated to raising awareness of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues in the community and providing healthy alternative activities for youth in the Havana area.
